Next week, I will fly to Warsaw to be there when my new book will be printed. The book is the essence of years of travelling in Eastern Europe and of trying to find and document what is still visible of the Jewish heritage.
Because I have not published anything on Vanished World since July, there were already worried inquiries whether I’m fine. Yes, I’m fine and I’m working on a new photo book on Eastern Europe’s remaining Jewish heritage – mainly consisting of images from Ukraine, Moldova, Romania and Poland. The result of countless trips. Many of you followed my wanderings through Galicia and Bukovina and I’m grateful to you and your comments. With me was my old camera; I took photos whenever I was travelling in the last two years. Classic black and white photography. Thanks to the Rhineland Regional Association I’m now able to publish some of my photos as a book.
